[Hello Network, its been a while since you've last seen this girl. She may look a little different than you may remember her. Maybe a little older, a slightly different wardrobe or a look on her face that actually looks content in god knows how long. Other than that, she practically looks the same that she did months ago. Only problem is, however...]

...God, this is all weird. Out of the Ishiyama kids to throw into a video game, the non-gamer one is the one that gets chosen. Terrific. Sounds like something from a cliche kid's book...

[Yeah, she has no memory of being in Johto. Bummer.]

So am I supposed to just travel around and collect gym badges just like in the games and earn my ticket home? I read the Rule book and the Trainer Tips and it didn't say it was neither possible or impossible. [A beat.] Actually, I don't think it mentioned anything about badges at all. Has anyone gotten all badges and something amazing happen to them yet?

[Something seems to have caught the girl's attention when she looked down. She bends down and holds up a Cyndaquil in one of her hands while trying to hand the Pokegear in the other. The pokemon seemed confused and was even sniffing its trainer, much to Yumi's disgust.]

Also, any pointers on how to take care one of these...um, things? It spent the last five minutes just sniffing around and...not really giving much of a reaction-

[As if on cue, fire erupted from the Cyndaquil's back, frightening the girl.]

OH CRA--

[Yumi drops both the pokemon and the pokegear, ending the feed.]

[Ramza had just been browsing the network - he's been a bit tired, taking care of the house.

But when he gets to this broadcast, his side of the feed is just filled with a shrill bird scream. And a certain Skarmory - Overwing - is trying to nose past Ramza.]

[After managing to not get herself or her clothes burned by her Cyndaquil's butt flame, Yumi was checking any messages she may have received. Sure it was weird asking strangers for advice but hey, does she have any choice?

One message seemed definitely weird though. Was that a bird made of metal?]

[Ramza is sitting upright and stable now. And Overwing is now giving a slight hiss-like sound.]
I apologize for Overwing - I've not seen a reaction like that from them before. Welcome to the land of Pokemon?

[Yumi could only freeze up at the mention of the name "Overwing". Is it just a complete coincidence that someone's bird was named after her Lyoko vehicle or was this a complete wacko dream she's having?

She's just gonna go with option 1. Overwing doesn't sound too of an uncommon name, right?]

If you've questions, I've been here for around six months. For one, you're in New Bark Town, correct? I'd recommend going towards Cherrygrove, three days to the west.

Cherrygrove has an inn, for one. From what I recall of New Bark Town, it's not a place to stay. There's also a ferry, but I've no ideas about that.

[Cue this girl with a massive Arcanine at her side, beaming at the camera.]

It's so good to see you! What was it like at home? I have two of your Pokémon, I'll send them back as soon as I get back to a PC! How're you feeling?

[It hasn't quite registered that she doesn't remember. Also that she has a different starter. That should be a hint.]

[Well, that brings some sense of relief. A tiny bit.]

Well, that sounds much better than camping out in the cold. [Who knows how long her Cyndaquil's fire could last.] Do you know where the ferry leads to?

A town called Pallet, in the Kanto region. [...] Right now, you are in the region of Johto. Each region has eight badges of their own, though they seem to share a lot of the same culture.

[Back? Back from where?]

[Wait, is she one of those vanishing trainers she's heard from that other guy? She's been here before and apparently made friends? Just how many people and pokemon did she befriended here? Oh god, she hasn't felt this bad since she almost made William turn to the dark side. Again.]

(Cue surprised look on Sayaka's face; she hadn't talked with this girl at all last time she was here -possibly- but she was sure the face looked familiar somehow.)

...Everything okay? Need some help with your Pokemon? Have you been here before?

[Yumi's response comes up a moment later after making sure her situation was under control. Somewhat.]

Yeah yeah, everything's all fine. Making sure Firebutt here didn't burn down the town. I think I have everything under control.

[She may be biting off more than she can chew with that statement.]

(Sayaka can't help but laugh a little at that; did she really call her own Pokémon by that name?!)

[A look of confusion spread all over her face.]

No. From what I know of the pokemon games, you're supposed to collect all of them? I thought it made sense we'd get to leave afterwards.

I haven't heard from the gamemaster whatsoever to say one way or another...

But I've heard at least one person on the network report having gotten every badge and I believe they're still here.

...whereas someone I know more personally only had one and disappeared back to his proper fragment for nearly a month.

(Sayaka grins reassuringly, holfing up a new Pokemon of her own for Yumi to see; an Emolga, specifically.)

Not a problem, Yumi-san! Still getting used to this guy myself, and I've had him for a couple weeks now.

(She thinks it over for a moment, then shrugs in response.) Don't think so. It'll come to you, or you could make new memories instead. (A beat.) Any of your friends from back home shown up? Maybe they can help!

[Give her a second, she hasn't had anyone come back who's not a ninja and would know her anyway.]

If that's the case... [Yumi knew better than to trust a complete stranger about these kinds of things but she can't help but think about the possibility. Being in a strange place and then completely forgetting about it? Its a troubling thought.]

[Yumi's thought bubble popped when Sayaka brought up her friends, however.]

Well, I haven't seen them around. Is it possible for them to pop up in different areas?
